In Memory of William Bowee Jaywheh
Won by One was born from the legacy of William Bowee Jaywheh - a Liberian man whose compassion changed countless lives. After meeting our family at a young age, Bowee's life became a bridge between two worlds. Though he built a life in the United States, his heart never left Liberia. He tirelessly gave back - sending money home, funding children’s education, and bringing hope to those who needed it most.

Bowee passed away in May 2025, but his spirit of generosity continues to guide us. What began as his personal mission - helping others one by one - has become ours. Through Won by One, we honor his life by continuing the work he started: empowering children in Liberia with the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.
